Best Tip Call the County seat you were born in and find out their requirements, which probably are: Send them a photocopy of your picture ID Send them a money order for $5 to $10 for processing fees Send them the name and birthdate, and your parents names This is what I had to do to get my daughter's California birth certificate, anyways.
