What's the best way to help bad allergies?

Best Tip
The best route to go is to see an Allergist to identify the specific allergens involved. He can prescribe a treatment that will best work for you. It may even include allergy injections, to help boost immunity to the allergen.

Neil Med.. get it at the drug store.
from some who has had three sinus surgeries
what kind of allergies? sinus? try drinking a lot of orange juice -- like its water -- it breaks up congestion. you can also try jala neti -- its a yogi sinus cleansing ritual. you can find lots of info about it on the internet. mostly you want to get the stuff you are allergic to out of your head though. medications just relieve symptoms and have a ton of weird side effects.
Find something that works for you, ie Benadryl, and whenever you feel an "attack" coming on take the tablets, use a nasal spray or whatever it is. If you know the pollen is going to be high take a tablet or whatever before you leave the house.

It's kinda like having asthma, you need to learn how to control it so that you don't have asthma attacks so we use "preventers".

Basically what I am trying to say is always e prepared, don't wait for the "attack" to hit, get in there first with your preventers. :)
It would depend on your reaction. If it's because you're itching after an allergy to say, your washing powder then antihistamines are the way to go, BUT! however, you're talking about an allergic reaction to say, peanuts or shell fish, then a shot of a adrenaline is required pretty damn quick.
It depends on what you are allergic to dummy
