*Health Issues>>>Allergies issues>>>severe allergic reaction when working out? |
Issue Has anyone ever heard of this. The allergy dr. thought I was lying. It has been a a while since it has happened but I still carry an epipen. I have been to the ER a few times with my throat swollen wheels all over my body and my face so swollen I looked like a cabbage patch kid. All just from playing basketball, tennis, or hiking. I also have contact dermatitis when I am not active at all. I really need to know if I am alone here? HELP Best Tip It is absolutely possible! It is called "exercise-induced anaphylaxis." Sometimes it is associated with food- eating wheat, for example, before working out causes the symptoms, but a lot of the time it is its own entity. Find a board certified Allergist to help you. Good luck.Go to another allergy doctor. There are actually people out there who are allergic to their own perspiration. Very rare, but it happens. My nephew had the same reaction to cold. Hope you can find the cause. good luck after seeing my share of odd things... yeah, it's very possible... what exactly you're allergic to, i'm not sure, but it's something of your own body... i'd go to another doctor to make sure |
