*Health Issues>>>Allergies issues>>>Does anyone have children that often get hives? |
Issue Since early summer my daughter has been getting hives. We thought it was a bug bite, then fabric softener, now the other day the Pediatrician put her on Prednisone, Benadryl and did blood work which will narrow things down. Just wondering if other people have had this problem and what caused theirs? Best Tip Alot of people confuse hives with welts both are itchy but hives are more like small sores whereas welts are large and look like just what they sound like. My daughter gets welts off and on. She has had strep a few times and that was found to be the source also mononucleosis and other infections can cause this. Good Luck Others yup, actually my daughter has been going through that for years now and the doctor told her she was just allergic to certain things in the environment so whenever she gets a breakout, she just takes claritin. It was just similar with my son when he was 2, but now not anymore. The Pediatrician said it due to sort of lack of immunoglobulin on his body. We did several blood investigations as well as allergy test. And he'd been taking corticosteroid and antibiotic. But one thing is, it'll be gradually relieve along his age. After preschool age he has never had the same problem. my son had it in his early years. I used to freak out cuz h would wake up with them all over... usually during the summer months... but the dr just gave him allergy meds... sometimes they have to be on those year round.. keep an eye out for triggers... I used to be allergic to fabrics soaps flour all kind of environmental things.... I grew out of it.. hopefully ur child will too Actually I've been worried lately,I've had chronic hives 9 yrs now and my 7 yr old daughter is always itching, although I have never seen any hives on her.I just hope she doesn't end up with them .I have no idea if you can inherit them. milk allergy. chamomile/ragwort allergy. msg intolerance. |
