I have back pain and blood in my stool and no insurance need a little advice?

I am 39 yrs old 5'10" and 172# . have had back pain and a tingly feeling when i lay down.blood in my stool(bright red).scary quick prognosis by local doc.had a serious drinking prob in the past(5 yrs ago)and have had appendix removed when i was young.any help would be appreciated.

You need to go to an ER and get admitted for a full workup. They care if you have insurance. While you are there, ask to see a social worker and see what she can do about your no insurance situation. There's always Medicaid if you fall into the income guidelines. There's also a little known Federal act called the "Hill Burton Act" which requires hospitals that are considered nonprofit to set aside money to apply to help any uninsured patient to pay their hospital bill. This would vary with the hospital, because some hospitals surpass the profit margin further than others.

Last but least, be aware that your medical bills can be paid off in small increments. They can't take your home or ask for more money than you can reasonably afford to give and still your bills. If this is only $5.00/month, that's what they have to accept.

My sister was in a similar situation, no insurance and needed emergency surgery. The hospital worked with her, the social workers got her medicaid and she has only a small amount that needs to be paid back, no pressure.

Your health is of utmost importance. No rectal bleeding is normal and the longer you wait, the worse the outcome could be. Please don't think about money but about how important you are to someone. Every ones life has value. Don't throw yours away. The hospital and doctors will definitely work with you.

They can not refuse you service for not having insurance. They may set you up on a payment plan but hell its better than your insides imploding.

Contact your local service agency as well as the clinic. You need help my friend.
you need to go to a doctor,try going to emergency room, they have guidelines according to your income.you could always make payments,you seriosly need to go though.
go see the county Dr. they well adjust payment by your income. Nothing to mess with it could be somethings that meds well fix if you take care of it now. Keep waiting it could cost you a lot more money and life wise.
