I have cancer been off work since Jan. not much money is there some where i can go to get help ?

i am doing chemo for the 2nd time cant work colon cancer have bag till Nov. is there some one i can go to to get money to help pay my bills cant work till get colon bag off probley in jan.been very sick trying my best to do on my own

apply for a bank loan!! i knoe its not that good idea..but yr health is more important than ant other thing.. so till u dont get healthy take a bank loan...once u r fine u can return it!!

Check with your employer to see if they offer any type of disability insurance and if you signed up for it.
depending where you live some states have disability that can be claimed. you should look into it. i am so sorry for your illness. try and keep your spirits up, im sure you will be fine. god bless you

I too have cancer and have 1 child still at home. I am unemployed and I applied for SSI and was approved, now I just have to wait for it to start! I went to the county for help, I also went to the Salvation Army, all of whom helped with rent, medication, food, also, ask if there is a Social worker at your hospital, they were very helpful! I also e-mailed my Governor about our situation and the next day I got a phone call from some local agencies that were very helpful. The Dr.'s and the hospital have been great thro' all of this! I don't know what i'd do without them! Good luck and don't forget to pray!
