I have lost my retainer and start uni this weekend so can't see the orthodontist to tell him and collect new 1 |
Issue What should I do? We have looked all over the house for it and it is nowhere. I know I can phone the orthodontist to tell him, but I will have to go in for a mould probably, and then i will have to go again in 2 weeks or so to collect it. I am going to uni about 2 hours away and staying there. I don't want to miss lectures to go home to collect it and come back again. My orthodontist is only open certain days in the week, not weekends. What should i do? Argh!! I don't want to end up bucktoothed! Best Tip You don't want all that progress (and money) to be for naught. You must get a new retainer. I'm surprised the orthodontist doesn't have your "mould"" on record -- but two hours away is do-able, though time consumming. If you call and explain won't he work with your schedule? The other option is to have him recommend an orthodonist in the town/city you're going to college in and have them make you a retainer. Of course you know after you've gone through all of this that you'll wind up finding the old one! |
