Toothache! Oil of cloves? |
Issue I've had a toothache on and off the past few days. It goes away for a long time then comes back real bad. I was told to get ibuprofen and oil of cloves. I can't find oil of cloves! I tried Eckerd pharmacy..where can you buy this? I won't be seeing the dentist for several days due to my stupid insurance Best Tip Try the health food store ..or a Chinese herbalist **Mouth Care: Clove oil is suggested for toothaches, and can help freshen breath. You may have tasted the sweet-hot flavor of clove oil in over-the-counter toothache medicines. Try a drop of this healing oil (available at drugstores and health-food stores) to ease an aching tooth until you can see a dentist. I am not sure you would want to try this but I have had some very bad toothaches that also come back. I found that staying away from solid food if there is a large hole or abscess till I have my appointment. I rinsed my month first with peroxide it is tasteless so do not swallow but let it foam around tooth and rest of mouth. I then rinse with warm water then use a very strong antiseptic mouth wash. I leave that in my mouth as long as I can stand it. That will help clear up an infection which magnifies the pain. I use the mouth wash as many times as needed to get relief. The heat from the mouth wash helped to rid some of the pain. The cloves will help with pain but not germ killing. I really hope this helps I know it hurts a great deal. It works real well, is non-toxic, and easier to find than oil of cloves ... just about every pharmacy or grocery will carry it, even some convenience stores do. Try some Whiskey, I heard it also numbs the pain. maybe try a natural homopathy shop or natural remedy shop or try putting a clove on ur tooth, i have heard this works too, the cloves they put in apple pies also try disolving asprin on tooth slowly lemon essence or drops of lemon juice on the tooth i have heard is good Try lots of Tequlia, a string and a doorknob, that should fix the toothache, can't help ya with the headache after though!
