I am 25 and am thinking about getting braces, and am looking for a dental plan that will cover atleast 50%.? |
Issue My problem is really based on the fact that most insurance companies only cover expenses for braces up until the age of 21. Best Tip I have a great dental plan! It is not insurance but a dental discount plan. No limits on visits or services, no age limit, no waiting period, specialists included! This plan does have their own providers but a very broad selection. Save anywhere from 50% to 80 on most utilized dental procedures such as exams, x-rays, teeth cleanings, fillings, root canal, and even crowns! Members can also save 50% or more on Braces! The plan is only $11.95 a month for an individual or $19.95 a month for household. You also get 3 additional benefits free with the plan vision, RX, & chiropractic! Get more information at: http://www.wehavebenefits.com At this same website you will be able to find out what dental providers are in your area that accepts this plan, just click on the tab at the top of the page that says Find a Provider. Let me know if you can't locate the website or have some questions! Others Good luck. Most dental plans only pay for up to between $1000-$1200 even for under 21. I have never heard of a plan for adults that pays anything. Both my husband and I had braces as adults and paid 100% out of out pockets. Braces are considered to be strictly cosmetic and not a necessary medical expense. Braces are only considered medical if needed as a result of an accident. I don't think you'll find any. Insurance didn't cover any of the cost of my braces and I got mine on when I was 15! You won't find insurance to cover it at your age, if you have a Flex care plan at work you can use that. Otherwise make payments like all the parents. Its a tax writeoff. Dental asst. 25 yrs good luck!!! most insurance will only cover orthodontia for kids I'm paying for my treatment with a flexible spending account through my work ($ pre-tax gets taken out of your paycheck and then when you pay for it you get reimbursed out of that account) the only problem there is that you have to pay for it before you get that money back ask if that is available for you otherwise I don't know You won't find one. I looked for a few months before I received mine. You won't find a plan that covers people over 21 I believe. |
