Does anyone have an idea of the fee to replace a filling?

Issue
I don't want a chek up or anything and hope they won't make me, I haven't been to the dentist in a couple years and don't have dental insurance; a filling broke out just now and I want it replaced. I know it varies depending on the dentist, I just want some sort of idea.

Best Tip
I had one done for $116 with insurance. I have a friend who paid $86 at the same dental office, without insurance.

Depending on how many "points" the filling is, anywhere from $49-89 usually though some places may be more. You will likely have to have x-rays though which are usually not too expensive. You should check to see if there are charity clinics (look under social services in yellow pages) or dental schools. Always get a rough estimate before you go in. Don't let a broken filling go to long like I did. I had to get a root canal that cost $700! I'm still paying on it months later.
for temp.. releef is to use bee's wax sold in the teeth and highgene dept.. in any dept.. store or seek out a dental colldge in your area.. and they do work veryyyyy good work for a fair price!! as i have myself, cause i aswell don't have insure...
I had mine replaced. The dentist drilled the old one and it cost me 100 dollars. But it depends in every dentist. So just ask your own, and ask for a discount too.
Depends if it can be refilled or if you will need a crown. If you have a Rite Aid in your area (possibly some other pharmacys) you can actually purchase a little Red Cross kit to refill on your own if you dare try.
I just got a bill from my dentist for $91.00 for one filling. I about fell over!
I have paid $100 to $200 per tooth at the dentist I go to.

But I also require the antibiotics.
