When you get your wisdom teeth removed how long do the steches need to stay in?

3-5 days. They are meant to dissolve so you are probably okay. If you are still worried call your surgeon just to be sure.

Mine came out on their own in 3 days too.

a month or less, but not 3 days
couple of days, most dentists use the stitches that disolve.
about a week was my case, but they did start coming out earlier. I don't think those stitches are helping much anyway. Good luck. Don't take too much Vicodin!
your stitches usually are made of a material that will naturally break down and disintigrate, theres no need to worry about them or manually pull them out. At least thats the way mine were.
never got stitches and all wisdom teeth have been removed I get all my dental work done south of the border where you get everything done in one sitting and not over the course of 10 years like the quacks we have here.
they put disolving stitiches in as the gums heal they dissolve.
