Has anyone had a infection after having their wisdom teeth removed? |
Issue I recently had 6 teeth out, 4 were wisdom teeth and the 2 bottom ones were impacted. I have had no pain and brush my teeth regularly (like morning and after every meal and before bed). When i open my mouth everything seems to look ok apart from one (bottom impacted) where the site is a little pink and looks slightly swollen. I have tried to call the oral surgeon who extracted my teeth, but she is on holiday! if this sounds familiar to you, can you please tell me what you think? There in no pain at all. Best Tip Your general dentist can take a look if the surgeon does not have someone else to take calls. "A little swollen and pink" sounds quite normal to me, though, especially since you have no pain. Others I never had even after having my top teeth pull from smashing my jaw They will be sore if you have an in infection I say go back and see you dentist it may be more then the tooth that was pulled if they say nothing get a second advise from a difference one some it still hurt a lot after the tooth been pulled Check with your dentist to make sure of no infection Go to the e room and get some antibiotics. As you can see by my questions, i was so scared to get 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. Well, that was 2 wednsdays ago. I developed a terrible infection that i just spend 5 days in the hospital for and i almost died. They had to drain it out and now i got a tube in my throat till monday. Ill be ok but do not ignore the signs. if something does not feel right to you, go to the emergency room. |
