dental nurses? |
Issue do you get free tratment provided to you at work.. I always have but know that ive changed jobs the dentist is very hesitant and will not do any cosmetic work for me.. Best Tip I get free treatment, the only thing I have to pay for is the lab fee if I have a crown done. The dentists where I work are only too happy to do work for me. It's a bit mean for your boss to say he's too tired to do it, especailly if you didn't have any patients. I think it's just an excuse to get out of doing it. Others That dentist may be looking at your insurance coverage. They may not cover cosmetic work for you, and those are expensive. Talk with him to see how much you need them done and what the costs are and what other options are availabe. I provide free treatment, unless there is a lab bill involved. The staff would usually have to pay the lab bill. Personally, I would hesitate to do TOO much optional cosmetic stuff on a new hire. Yes, I WANT my staff to be walking billboards, so to speak, but since it's elective, I think I'd wait maybe six months to be sure the staff member was going to stick around. I just finished 6 Procera crowns on my DA of 17 years in May and now she's gone... Okay, she didn't "WORK" me for the crowns, but it can happen. We had a deal where it cost her only about half the lab bill in days off, too, so it didn't actually cost her anything. She's had to quit due to medical reasons. Still, we had about 7 or 8 hours chair time and a lab bill approaching $1,000 and she got the crowns for free. I don't begrudge her the crowns as it was not her fault, but MAN, would I be steamed if she had only worked for me for 6 months. The correct name is dental hygienist we do some work as the doctor no I've never received any thing free but tooth paste brushes and the pink cleanser pills. on teeth all they give is discounts so I go to the office of my choice since I have to pay anyway. And sometimes he does the oral exam everything else is discounted. Like the doctor above stated time is money and money is time. |
