Underbite problems? |
Issue Ok. This miht take a while. When I was about seven or so, my dentist reconized that I had an underbite. So i had a retainer. The when I was 9, I got braces. I also had to wear headgear. Now, when I'm 13, I get all the metal off my mouth because my front teeth were over my back teeth. My dentist told me that my teeth and jaw were still growing, so we would have to wait for everything to grow in before we move on to "Phase 2", which I'm guessing is more braces. The thing is, since my jaw is still gowing, and now it doesnt have braces or headgear to hold it back, its starting to turn into an underbite again. Should I tell my dentist? Also, should I get a second opinion from a another dentist? Because my teeth are very uneven, but my dentist doesnt seem to be concerned. Sorry if that didnt make much sense. I'm a little flustered. Best Tip Cost for dental health is a lot. Try seeing another dentist but please don't tell your retained dentist. Some dentist are not sensitive to the patient's agony of wearing metals. Your retained dentist may be right but you cannot be so sure unless there is another professional who can give an opinion. Others If you are not satisfied with the explanation you got, ask an orthodontist for an opinion. |
