Has anyone had a gum graft? |
Issue My dentist has suggested that I get a gum graft becauses I lost some gum tissue when I had braces. Can anyone tell me exactly what this will involve, side effects, how long it will take to heal, anything like that. Best Tip It is common for people who have had braces to get tissue graphs. The dentist will most likely numb an area of your gum in a different area of your mouth probably on your soft palate (back part of the roof of your mouth) Cut out a piece and place it in the area that needs more tissue then suture it in. Eventually it will all heal and always remember to make sure you talk to your doctor about if something should go wrong after the surgery. I also suggest using N2O nitrous oxide when you do it too.
