Will my gums be okay? |
Issue I got a few teeth pulled a couple months ago and plan to get dentures. In the mean time I've been having to manage eating with my gums. My question is is it possible to deform my gums this way? Or better yet will this make it harder for them to make dentures fit my mouth? Best Tip This is the preferred method, so as to allow full healing of your gums and bone. As the bone heals, the pointy edges will round off a bit, ultimately making it a better fit for the final denture, and therefore more comfortable for you. WendyD1999 above has had the dentures put in at the same time as the extractions ("immediate dentures"). This can work well, and means that you have replacement teeth immediately. However, the healing must go on underneath, and can mean a poorer fit initially, and a looser denture requiring more adjustments. More commonly used to replace front teeth where looks are important. Generally costs more. Others Umm, duh, what did the surgeon tell you? I have full dentures and they put them in the same time they pulled the teeth. Talk to your dentist. Follow the instructions your doctor gave you. He must have told you how to eat with your teeth gone ?? Do as he / she said to. Good Luck ! :) |
