Normally how long should you stay at home if you just had a tooth taken out? |
Issue My husband is having an extraction Wednesday. He does not know if he should ask for one or two days off of work, since he already had been having lots of pain. Best Tip you dont need a day off work for just that. Others Every tooth is different. Stay home till the pain goes away 4 HOURS. Really..who needs a day off for that? The pain will pretty nearly be over after they take it out (I've had two wisdom teeth and one regular molar out). I never took more than a day. How is he normally about recovering from things like this? Is his job very physical? If he does a lot on the phone or interacting with people verbally, he may want to take the weekend. take a pain killer go back to work..... this is a man, right? It's always better to plan for the worst. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, I slept for a day and a half just from the laughing gas and the codine-like pills they gave me afterwards. I would suggest asking for 2 days off and, if he feels better, he can always go in on the second day. If not, he has no worries and can stay home to eat cold applesauce :) Good luck to you! |
