Gnash tooth in Sleep .?

Issue
I have a problem.I gnash my tooth in sleep almost every night.some times I wake up because of my tooth sound,I do it unwillingly.Would you suggest a solution. Thanks for reply.

Best Tip
I wish I knew. Maybe a dentist could fit you with a plate just for night time? Or sedatives? I sympathize, as I clench my teeth all day long, sometimes in my sleep too. I chew gum, and that helps a lot. The old wives tale says if you grind teeth in your sleep you are keeping secrets.

Tell your dentist about this and he/she will make you a night guard so you don't break your teeth or develop TMJ pain.
I am assuming that u grind or clinch... if this is so get a night guard this can be purchased at a drug store or even a sports guard from a sporting good store.

Hi I have the same problem and have had for many years!!
You need to see your dentist and he/she will take a mould of your teeth and will arrange to a specially made 'occlusal splint' (mouthguard) to wear every time you sleep. It needs to be a good one and fit well. Without this you will wear you teeth down and will get headaches and perhaps other other achesas I did. Mine cost approx AU$300 to be made and I received a mall rebate from my private insurance fund. It is essential to wear one as it does get worse. Stress seemed to cause mine originally and then it became a bad habit. dont wait too long - I did! (I have very small teeth now as a result of the grinding)
Good luck.
My experience.
My dentist told me to use a mouth guard like football players use. It was .94 cents at wal-mart. It worked miracles!!!
