Trouble with speech after getting Veneers?

Issue
I am having trouble talking. I really am having trouble saying TH like Thief or Death. Any suggestions?

Best Tip
I had this with mine, too. They took a couple of milimeters off the length of my front teeth and I spoke with a pronouced lisp right afterwards.

I practiced by reading aloud for a few minutes each night before I went to bed. My speech was back to normal in a few days.

Others
keep practicing. im sure you will get used to it. good luck. btw did they hurt and how many teeth did you get done? i am looking into doing it myself.
I have had veneers for years and have never had any problems with them at all. I never noticed any difference in my speech, so I can't be much help. But, believe me, once you get used to them, they will be worth it.
Don't worry, it is completely normal, it will take time and practice as any changes in the mouth feel dramatic and exaggerated just imagine what it must be like getting used to a full set of dentures!!Give it a week or so, if the problem has not subsided return to your dentist and have them re-contoured. I BET THEY LOOK GREAT THOUGH!! KEEP SMILING.
My two front teeth were crowned. I had some trouble speaking for a couple of months after the crowns were placed until I got used to them. If it is a persistent problem, go back to the dentist and he can reshape the crowns to better fit your mouth.
