Do I need to go to the dentist?

Yesterday I had a pain at the back of my mouth, and I kept playing with it with my tongue, Last night I could taste something nasty, now it does't hurt as much but still very tender. I haven't had to have my wisdom teeth out yet, should I go to the dentist, I've made an appointment for Friday, should I keep it?

It sounds like you have an abscess which may be draining into the mouth. You need to check with the dentist and let them take an xray to check the area.
