How long is recovery time after wisdom teeth surgery? |
Issue How long is recovery time after wisdom teeth surgery? Best Tip It would depend on the how complicated the surgery is as well as how good the surgeon is.... I had a really bad case of wisdom teeth (impacted) that is ones that had grown horizontally into my jaw bone. My jaw had to be ground down to expose the tooth before it was literally yanked out (under an anesthetic of course). But the surgeon does a good job you should be well on the road to recovery within 24 hours. Others I guess it really depends on the person. For me, it took 3 days. I have seen people who recover right away, and I've seen others that take a week. 2days-1week hi, lets see how many teeth are you having out. Most likely 2 - 3 days at most. You'll get pain killers. Yuck. Salt water works and stick with it. Good Luck I would say that generally it's just a few days. But if your wisdom teeth are impacted I think that it takes a little longer to recover. My jaw was sore for a long time but... my tooth broke during the extraction... Hope yours goes well... Do the salt rinse like they tell you to. It helps and don't smoke or drink through a straw. Ice on your face after surgery too (if they tell u to) Good luck :) |
