Any remedy besides drugs for severe toothache, after filling was placed? |
Issue I had a bad cavity in the back of my mouth. They were fortunate not to hit the nerve while drilling, so they gave me a filling. Now, my whole left side is hurting, my tooth, my gums, even my lower teeth, when the filling was on top. It hurts in my jaw, clear to my ear. I am alternating Ibuprofen and Vicodin every two hours, per doctor's orders. But, the pain is so bad. Is it going to get better? Has anyone ever experienced this much pain after getting a filling from a cavity that was very deep? Please help me, I am hurting so bad...How long will it be like this? I cannot even drink water, it hurts too much when it touches my tooth... Best Tip Sounds dumb but it actually does work. Put a clothes pin on you ear lobe. Acupressure point. Some dentist are using the pressure point instead of injections. Others oil of clove but it wont help much Oh man do I feel for ya'!!..I know exactly what that feels like, and it bites!...You can try ice, make an ice pack, wrap in a washcloth or something so it isn't directly on your skin (the ice pack) and hold it on where your jaw is connected. on a few, off a few, don't just leave it on there...it should help, and if it doesn't get better in a day or so, go back to the dentist! nothing worse than a toothache or earache!!! my fren, u hav a pulpitis may need root canal treatment get some ouzo and mouthwash! if it doesn't help it'll at least get you drunk and forget the pain Clove Oil - I'm not really sold on alternative or herbal remedies but this one works trust me. It numbs the whole area around your tooth and 'no drugs'! Good luck! |
