Issue How do I stop habitually chewing the inside of my mouth? Best Tip Can you chew gum instead? Others you can try chewing a gum, good luck One way to stop chewing on the inside of your mouth is to be aware that doing this (if you are doing it consciously) can lead to oral cancer. Talk to your dentist if this condition persists - she may have some answers for you as well. Rub salt in your azz,it will redirect your thought patterns! yeah chew gum or suck on a mint. and everytime you catch yourself doing it, stop. if you can do it for at least 2 weeks, then you broke the habit. good luck. I have the same problem. Sometimes I just keep it on my mind that I won't do it anymore and it works. Sometimes I just don't care. Just a thought, but try getting a mouthpiece like football players of boxers wear, and keep it in when you are at home, or sleeping. It will prevent chewing, and also make you aware of when you are trying to, so that maybe when you are out and about, that awareness of what you are doing will carry over so you can conciously catch yourself. |
