Issue i got braces today. they hurt soooo bad and i feel i will never get used to them. do you think i will get? Best Tip I have braces too. The first time I wore them they hurt soooo bad too, couldn't even eat spaghetti well that day. After about 3-5 days you'll feel better. And after a while, It'll feel normal. Every time you get your braces tightened this happens. And remember not to eat any gum, any sticky or hard stuff, or like me, some of your braces will come off the teeth. That really feels uncomfortable! Generally after anywhere from 3-14 days of your appointment, your mouth will adjust and the majority of the pain will subside. Of course, you will have to go through this period of hightened pain everytime they are tightened, but inbetween it's not so bad. of course you will get use to them. give it a good 2 weeks and you'll get comfortable with them. in a bout 2 or 3 months you wont even notice it. you'll occasionally feel the pain and pressure when you go to your dentist appointments and they do slight changes. but you'll sooner or later forget that you even have it in your mouth, because you're so used to it |
