Best Tip Once a patient is "caught up" and on routine maintenance visits (simple check up and cleaning), I'd say that about 10-20% have to come back for something. The rest are "free to go" without any kind of additional treatment. This is just in my own office, though. Maybe there are actual statistics available somewhere. Others I usually do once every couple of years... That precentage is actually very high if it's been awhile since you been to the dentist. Procedures could range from simple fillings to a deep cleaning. If you are on a regular recall it's less likely the you will need new work. General Dentist |
