Im confused about dieting...?

i have heard that if you eat little portions throughout the day it helps loose weight but then ive heard you should eat less...which is right?

For example, one pound equals 3500 calories. So if you eat more than 3500 calories a day, you'll gain weight. If you're trying to lose weight, try to limit your daily calorie intake to 1200. So, if you're splitting that up into 5 meals, that's a little over 200 calories per meal. But be careful about what you eat too. A sandwich that's 300 calories is a lot more healthier than a bag of chips. I personally prefer 3 small meals, but that's just me. Good luck!

It lowers the metabolism, so you burn fewer calories. If you eat a healthy diet, but limit the amounts of pasta, bread, rice, and potatoes, you are cutting back on the fat content. You will maintain a higher metabolism and are eating fewer fats. Exercise increases the metabolism, so you burn more calories. Your best bet to lose weight is to enjoy a healthy diet and exercise daily.
