should i take my son to the hospital for lip gloss in the eye?

Issue
MY 2 year old son got into my lipgloss and got in in his eye this afternoon and i have washed it out many times and his eye is very red and watery

Best Tip
No.
If the eye is still bad (or worse) in a couple of days, then make an appointment with a regular GP. Lipgloss in the eye is nothing to go to the hospital for. Products are tested for exactly this type of reason. His eye may even be red and irritated because of your washings.

Others
First start off by flushing continously for 15 minutes with cold water. If the eye still shows signs of irritation then your best bet is to consult the poison control center number usually located on the product, if the number is not there then it will be in your phone book for sure, they will give you further instruction. Good luck and i hope your son feels better = )

Umm, to the brainiac who said to flush it out for 15 minutes, can you not read? She already flushed it out several times without success. Yes, by all means, get him to an ER. They can have a pediatrician look at it, most likely call in the on-call opthamologist. There is a great risk of permanent eye damage if this is untreated, as lip gloss has high levels of alcohol content in it.
PS.. Ronna, you're a fu*king moron. Just because items are tested do not mean they are safe for ingestion or intake in the body other than the specified means. Why do you think they have those warning "seek medical attention" on things? Get your head out of your fat ****.
take him to the ER better safe than sorry
he will be fine just rinse it many times, an keep an eye on it. he just probably poped a blood vesil it his eye
