someone poured washing up liquid in my ear?

Issue
it has become stuffy and more than a little sore HELP!

Best Tip
make an appt to see your dr within 24 hours.

this chemical could have caused burns within your ear canal and could damage the eardrum itself-especially if you are having problems hearing...

your ear could also be infected-the soreness could be a good indication of this. if it is infected-you'll need antibiotics to clear it up.

don't stick anything in your ear until you are seen by a dr.

for pain take ibuprofen. 200-400mg every 6 hours but no more than 1200mg in 24 hours. Source(s): i work in trauma icu

Washing up liquid? Anyway, see a doctor.
Id go to the doc, that can be dangerous.
you should go to the doctor, if it hurts its cause its burning your skin. How on Earth did you let someone do that to you?
Try and wash as much of it as you can out by sticking your ear under the faucet but go to the doctor after that..
go to the doctor
Americans call washing up liquid: liquid dishwashing detergent, guys. Like Joy or Dawn.

Get either an oral syringe or an ear cleaning bulb, and wash it out with mildly hot water. It'll take a lot of attempts.

Lie on your side to try to drain it out. Then take a hairdryer and put it on a warm or cool setting (not hot) and point it toward the ear until it dries.

If it's sore, then you may have swimmer's ear from bacteria. In that case, a doctor will give you antibiotics or an antibiotic sponge to apply to the ear.

Good luck and get better!
