Issue Whats the best way to remove a splinter from under your toe nail? Man it hurts.? Best Tip Use ice to numb the area, then using a sterile needle gently peel the skin back until the splinter is exposed. Use sterile tweezers to gently remove the splinter and finally use a small amount of antibiotic ointment on the area to prevent infection and cover with a bandaid. Others peroxide and tweezers do it very carefully and if you cant let someone else do it otherwise go to the ER nursing Ouch. If it was me. I would insist on being anaethetised and let the doctor remove it. That I know is very very sore. Hope you get it out soon before it festers. get some to sit on your leg and do it for you I'm more than happy to help out, being that I'm a doctor. The easiest and safest way to get that darn thing out is to sqeeze it out. Put your toe in a vice, and tighten down real hard. You should start to see the splinter. Get a pair of needlenose pliers. Pull that piece of lumber out. Go see a doctor, pronto. By now, your toe is in need of some serious medical attention. Hoped that helped you out. Have a good day! the toe book |
