Ok yahoo, I need the best way to lose weight for some one with out a lot of time.I? |
Issue I currently weight 280, and have been losing weight, I lost 20 pounds already over the course of three monthes, and I am very proud, I was at an all time high, and its just plain not healthy. I have been riding my bike, and walking a lot more than driving, and cutting out unnecessary crap from my diet. I am losing, but not enough progress is being made, I am afriad of reaching a stand still. What do you reccomend? No snide remarks please, just help. Best Tip You are have started off great. There are several things that you need to keep doing: 1. The exercise - This is really the most important thing. Keep pushing yourself in this area. I would set some increasing personal goals here. If you are biking 5 miles a day, try to increase either the distance, or decrease the time that you do it in. Keep track of it so that you can make sure that you are making progress here. 2. Keep up the improved diet. Stick with whole foods as much as possible. (Non processed.) The additional fiber alone in whole foods makes them worth eating. (Fiber takes more calories to digest than you intake by eating it and it keeps you cleaned out which helps keep metabolism up.) 3. Don't get discouraged. Keep a log of your progress both with your weight and your exercise. Take pictures of yourself and see the progression. I am glad that you are trying to take care of yourself. Others cut out all carbs for a month and see if it helps. good luck Losing it slow is the best way.Try some different excerise's that you wont get bored with. Low carb works well though dont stay on it to long .Good for you stay with it!! You wont reach a stand still if you keep on doing what your doing . I used to weigh 95kg(dont know conversion sorry!) and I now weigh 65kg. Thats a lot! It took me about 10 months, I started doing everything you are, being more active, watching my intake, I started losing then just stopped. I started getting up half an hour earlier to work out (just a few stretches, little aerobics, few crunches) and it started dropping off hugely, no matter what I ate. I hit another plataeu, so I upped my workout, got addicted to the exercise high, and now cant wait to get up and work out! I can eat whatever I want now, exercise is a great thing! I know its hard when your strapped for time but it all comes down to motivation - If you really want the weight off, getting up a little earlier is the best way to fit it in. 20 lbs over 3 months doesn't sound like a lot of progress. If you've stepped up your activity, the only thing left is diet. The MOST important thing to do is stay away from sodas and drink water or unsweetened tea. 1 soda a day will make you gain 15 pounds a year. Drink water, stay active, and cut out sweets or snacks. Here's what I did and I lost 65 pounds in 3 months: Drank ONLY water. I ate a bowl of Corn Flakes in the morning with a banana sliced up in it. I ate a lean beef cheeseburger with low fat cheese and mayo with baby carrots for lunch. And for Dinner I had a Lean Cuisine (flavorful bowls yum). Whenever I wanted a snack I ate fresh fruit like a banana, grapes, apples, or oranges. I didn't limit myself to how much I could snack, I just ate whenever I was hungry. I also took a multi-vitamin daily just to make sure I was getting all the vitamins I needed. It really worked. It's really not that hard to do if you live alone. Just remove all other food from the house. Now that the wife and kids are back, it's MUCH harder, because there are high sugar foods available any time I want them. Good Luck.
