*Health Issues>>>Heart Diseases issues>>>Does anyone have any alternatives to clearing blocked arteries other than angioplasty, stents or lazerplasty? |
Issue I have had bypass surgery, stents and lazerplasty but due to hereditary factors still continue to have blockages. I eat a fat free diet, take Omega three and eat a lot of fruit. I would be gratefull for any ideas that anyone out there has onthe subject. Best Tip It sounds like you have had a tough go of it and still are having a hard time. I have seen patients that despite optimal lipid control (LDL's below 70) still manage to re-stenose their arteries, bypasses, and stents with some regularity. In truth the typical cholesterol tests we run are only markers for the sub-particles that cause the problems. If you have not had a discussion with a lipid specialist, I would encourage you to inquire about it. They can run a specialized blood test that will help identify abnormalities in the make-up of your lipid profile. They can also customize a medication regimen to address it. Most large cities have cardiologist offices (usually not the cardiologist him or herself) that have this service or have medical schools that can offer these services. Interestingly I notice that you don't mention taking a 'statin' medication which is usually the cornerstone of anti-cholesterol therapy. Some studies have even demonstrated REVERSAL: of arterial plaque with intensive enough treatment. Good luck. Chelation therapy. You can do a search for chelation in your area and find out where you can get it, if it's legal in your area. If you have had bypass surgery you must be very careful. |
