*Health Issues>>>Injuries issues>>>Debating on my foot? |
Issue Last thursday, i jumped in the air to catch a ball and i landed on the side of my foot with all my weight. That day i could not walk on it at all, it is now sunday evening, and i can put weight on it, but it still hurts a little. i was debating with my mom if i should go to school, as i would have to go upstairs and walk all day from class to class, that i might reaggervate the injury and make it worse, so i requested to her that i stay home and let it heal incase walking arounf at school allday hurts it even more, she wants me too go, but i dont wanna make my injury worse, what do you guys think i should do? Best Tip I blieve that you should stay home and stay off your feet. but what you COULD do is ask the school office to send your homework home with a friend. I have had injuries like that before. you want to stay off them for a few days at least. I would say Wednesday, you should be able to go back to school. Have you been putting heat or ice on it at all? Icing your foot will help you heal faster. I hope you get to heal properly. Others See how it feels in the morning, then decide if youcan go. Remember you are going to do more walking if you miss a day of school, getting assignments etc. u need to wrap your foot and use crutches if need be it needs support so wrap it Try putting ice on it tonight and see how it feels in the morning. If it is too painful too walk on then maybe you should stay home for a day to see how it's feeling. If there isn't much swelling then it's probably a light sprain and should be fine in a day or two walking will actually help it to feel better by not letting the muscles contract and keeping them stretched a bit just be careful walking up the stairs and you should be fine Good Luck Seems strange, I have turned my ankle many times in my youth.. it didn't restrict my activities, only the speed that I was allowed to accomplish them. You have stretched the ligaments and they are going to be tender for several weeks, perhaps even months. Letting it rest a day or a week is not going to make it heal any faster. |
