*Health Issues>>>Injuries issues>>>I had an accident at work they have admitted liability, my wrist , thumb and two fingers were broke plus my? |
Issue one of my fingers had to be operated on it was badley lacerated now i have a hand like a claw that i can not close and never will im still at work but i struggle badley how much do u think my claim will pay out. Best Tip I assume you have a lawyer If you are in the UK there are guidelines to the amount that is paid out in compensation for injuries. You should speak to your lawyer or Trades Union Representative about the amount you may expect, they can only speculate at this stage the amount you may receive, your employers insurance company will make an offer at a later date and you will choose either to accept that offer or decline it. If you decline the offer they may revise it to a higher sum. Do not play the game too hard though as I have known them to drop the figure too ! You should get `fair` compensation for your distress, it is up to your legal representative to advise you of what that may be. Others If they've admitted liability, the ball is in your court. They should pay for all your medical bills and then some. Contact a lawyer. Really depends on how astute your lawyer is...good luck! Not really very much to you. They will of course pay to have you rehabilitated. If they choose, or they may just pay you a lump sum. And get rid of the liability altogether. I suppose whichever is cheaper. The pay out is usually figured on the same type of injury in similar cases. If you are in the UK then visit The National Accident Helpline website, you will find all you need to know on there. Based on Lobster vs Grabmeat, Case #27,376 as documented in the state of Maine, October 27th, 1972, by the plaintiff, et all and duly documented on MTV, you have a great case. I would recommend a "high powered" attorney, lots of therapy, and a red business suit. After six years of litigation, attorney fees, taxes, and therapy fees, you should "net" $4,047.50. On the other hand you could join a "freak show". They usually pay $30,000 per year. Who am I to decide the best stragety? It would depend as you state you are still working and how it will affect your future employment. you say the company has admitted liability, are you sure? who was the person who told you that & what did he actually say? have you got that in writing. Companies rarely admit liability so I would not make plan's for early retirement yet. |
