can i continue to walk on a pinched nerve in my big toe (tingling) without making it worse? How can I heal it?

Best Tip
having worn tight shoes would most likely not cause the tingling sensation in your big toe. unless it's something as simple as you toe nail - as mentioned earlier. your feet flex back to normal shape within hours after being crammed in tight shoes - so the tingling should go away. pinched nerves are usually caused by injuries.
you may have done something to your sciatic nerve - (a nerve that runs from your big toe up your leg to your back). often, people who feel tingling in their toes have done something to their back. have you lifted something heavy lately? strained? twisted the wrong way? slept wrong?
If you continue walking or exercising after having pinched your sciatic nerve without properly stretching or having it healed can cause further swelling, which could cause further problems.
try to understand what is causing the tingling. If it feels like your foot/toe's asleep constantly, it may be related to sciatica.
this is, essentially, when the insides of your body are rubbing against the nerve. if you leave this unchecked for too long, the nerve will die and you won't have any more sensation in that part of your body.
do you have any shooting pain in your legs? any other symptoms?
taking medicine that reduces swelling (like Advil) and putting ice (followed a few days later by heat) on the injured area can help - but only mild injuries. if you've done more damage, it may not help (or heal).
it may be nothing. but i'd advise you to see a doc.
or read up on sciatica and see if this may apply to you.
hope this helps. Source(s): http://www.spine-health.com/topics/cd/d_...

if its a ingrown toenail ur gonna have to cut it or go to the hospital and get it taken care of
You need to describe you condition a bit more. Tingling in the big toe describes lots of possible causes. Can't help unless I have more info.
