how do I know if my daughter's arch is really hurt?

Issue
she has a very mini. amount of swelling. I have had her to the Doc and it is not broken, but she says it hurts!

Best Tip
It could be plantar fascitis or muscle pain. It could also be a ligament injury. All very good possibilities. In addition she could have a stress fracture (they do not show up on x-rays) which need a bone scan. See an orthopaedic that specializes in feet.

Others
Well, if she says it hurts, why don't you believe her?
And you don't believe her because ???
Take her to a orthopedic doctor.
If she says it hurts, it hurts. I assume she had an x-ray. Try applying an ice bag every two hours for 10-15 minutes to reduce swelling. And give her Motrin or Tylenol in the recommended dosage by weight. She'll be fine in a day or so.
I believe that I understand your question. Anyway, it sounds minor to me especially if the Dr. has evaluated it and says its ok, but if it continues to trouble her then by all means take her for a second opinion. Doctors are not perfect and can miss things so basically, being that she is your daughter and you want the best for her then take her back. Thanks, J
