As long as you do not take it to some extreme, then I think it is healthy. But if you do it too much or improperly, then you can put a big drain on your body (because masturbation takes a fair amount of energy) and risk losing sensitivity. Women here have warned that too much masturbation can cause a man to get too used to his hand to easily climax with a woman.
