Does one get sedation with a prostate biopsy? |
Issue Does one get sedation with a prostate biopsy? Best Tip i agree fully with the other person, its easy and almost pain free being a registered nurse myself. Others not usually. The doctor uses a local anesthetic, it's a simple procedure done right in his office. RN You can always request a sedative, if it will make you feel more at ease. It can be done under slight sedation. Being a guy and having gone throught the procedure, it is a little uncomfortable and I really don't remember any sedation being given before the procedure. it all sounds most unpleasant. Not a whole lot of fun for the doctor (proctologist?) either. Whatever they are paying him it is not enough for me to want the job! hope it goes well for you no they take a big needle and jam it into (you no where). there is no pain meds and it hurts like hell...i know cause i watched my bf get his done...lol jk |
