A steel splinter? |
Issue I have a steel splinter embeded in the palm of my hand, it's not deep into the flesh but just under the skin. It's set just so I can't get it with tweezers. Should I let it work itself out or cut it out? I don't want it to rust and have to get a shot. Best Tip if you think you can get it out do it as soon as possible if it looks to far in you should call a doctor you don't want to leave any little medal fragments in it...Good luck sweetie Others Cut it out. You don't want that in there at all. You should go to the doctor because metal doesn't absorb and can be drawn to all sorts of harmful places. You should get a tetanus shot anyway if you haven't had one recently. And if you start cutting at it yourself, you might just push it further in. Go to the urgent care clinic and they can lance it if necessary. Try digging it out with a small sewing needle! Always worked for ME! cut cut it out. Even if it isn't rusted, if you are not up to date on your tetanus shot, you should get one. |
