I dont think that they do anything cosmetic or not medically nesecary. The only way I see them paying(and I think that this would still be a long shot) would be if the guy was still real young, say under 30, had no kids(or at least no boys), was already married and had no one else to carry on the family name.
Some old fart, or someone that did follow his endo dr. advice about his diabetes? They would just laugh I would think.
