this question is for men. my husband has been having anixety attacks. he is goin to the doctors tomorrow? |
Issue i was wondering if there are any men out there that are on meds for anixety attacks, if so what kind, and how long did it take for the meds to start to work. thanks Best Tip November will be my one year mark since my attacks started. I have quit drinking completely, exercise daily, changed my diet and take Celexa. My life has changed dramatically. For the better. I was a pretty heavy drinker/partier and that did not help. Do NOT have him take Xanax, it will only exacerbate the problems. Therapy was great to. You have to want to help yourself on this. You can't sit back and feel sorry for yourself, or you will never get better. You have to make lifestyle change. Meds are not for everyone but it helped me tremendously. I will be stoping them in the next month. Good luck. Oh yea, be supportive. I'm 32 and single and it was a hard thing to go through by myself. Do NOT let the doctor give hime Paxil or Prozac. These are heavy on side effects. I did tons of research before deciding wich Medication was right for me. Celexa or Lexipro are the new "clean" SSRI's. I have had no sexual side effects what so ever. Others no i ain't so sorry Yes, I'm on Paxil. They started to work for in the first week. However there are often side affects - like erection problems. I do not trust AMA FDA pharmacy drugs period. There are natural teas and herbs and herbal extracts that are just as helpful. Most cost as much as a co-pay on med.insurance. They are lost cheaper than full cost of meds and do not have damaging side-effects that pharmaceuticals do. I think Sam-E is good but so are many others simply od a google search. |
