i got my left ear pierced and then i did not care for it and it closed but now i have a hard thing in earlobe? |
Issue its aobut size of an penicil earaser or bigger , it does not hurt but i want it gone cause i want my ear pierced agian it happen wen i was little so i was not very smart enoguht to rub my ear out can i get it pierced agin? Best Tip This bump is called a keloid and especially happens when a piercing gun is used rather than a needle. A keloid is basically a ball of scar tissue and CAN go away. To help get it to go away wet a washcloth with warm water and massage the area with it once a day. It takes a long while to go away but after awhile it will. I don't recommend getting your ear pierced in the same place. Piercing over scar tissue hurts more and it's risky. Consult a reputable PIERCER before a doctor, they are trained in these situations and although a doctor has a degree, they don't know as much about piercings. Good luck and perhaps get your piercing on the other ear or above the keloid. Source(s): I have 6 piercings in each ear, my boyfriend has a keloid that we are working on breaking down, and I'm a piercer in training Others This is scar tissue, and unless you have plastic surgery, it won't go away. Refining the scar will cost money. that's just a bit of scar tissue. Just tell the piercer what you just told us and be sure and clean it every day! Its scar tissue. Thats all. Itll stay like that too. No do not pierce your ear at all. You are lucky that it is just the size of a pencil eraser. It is called a Keloid. It is scar tissue. It is almost like when you cut yourself and your body over heals itself. I have seen Keloids the size of a lemon (not b u l l s h i t ' n). This usually occurs in people of African American descent, Native Americans, and Asians because of sensitive skin. You have to be very careful. Do not pierce your ear again. Next time you won't be so lucky, it will be bigger an hang off the earlobe. Trust me. I did the exact same thing; the lump did go but it took...I dunno, maybe 2 or 3 years? I wouldn't get it pierced on the exact same spot but I'd ask your GP rather than the piercer, unless you go to a reputable beauty salon where the staff are fully trained. |
