What procedures do they do for men in a physical at age 17? and later on in life? |
Issue Just wondering what they check for in men. Im worried about my physical coming up. Best Tip I wasn't going to answer this but all the others have lied and obviously do not take your question seriously. A general exam by a doctor for a teen boy. You will ask to strip to your briefs or shorts, the doctor will want to see your skin all over so he can make a quick visual check for blemishes, bruises, moles eetc. He will check your eyes, ears, throat, he will listen to your heart and lungs, will take your pulse, and blood pressure, and take your temperature. He will then ask you to lower your briefs and will look at your privates to see how they are hanging, he will then exam each testicle very briefly and then will check for a hernia by placing a finger at the top of the scrotum just at the base of the penis and asking you to cough he will do this for each side. He may or may not ask you to bend over so that he can insert a finger into your anus to check your prostate gland. In older men this is done yearly it is a DRE digital rectal exam. It is important very important. He will then tell you to pull up your pants, and then may check feet, finger nails, hair. etc. He may ask if your are sexually active with a partner be honest this is not the time to be shy or to try to make yourself more experienced than you are. He will instruct you to do a Testicular Self exam TSE once a month and will explain how to do that. This should all take about 30 minutes. A nurse can be present if this bothers you ask if it is necessary. If no nurse is present and you want one ask. Source(s): Retired biology teacher Others at 17 your still safe as you are a minor so you will only get his finger in your butt for the prostrate exam but next year when your 18 and not a minor the finger is just foreplay before he slips it to you. They just check your height, weight, eyes, ears, heartrate, dick, and knee reflexes, like usual. Nothing changes when you turn 17. Stop worrying... the doctor isn't going to do anything bad to you. the doctor is gonna squeeze your balls and ask for a sample of semen...but dont worry he will help you jack off the size of your dick. |
