Can a high fever reduce spirm count? |
Issue My husband has been running a temp for a couple of days ranging b/t 38.5-39.5 (101-103) We are TTC and I will be ovulating in a few days, will the fever lower or effect the spirm count Best Tip Yes, sperm are very sensitive to temperature changes. You might want to wait until your next ovulation cycle to attempt conception - with a temp that high, he might not want to . . . um, try. Others Heat affects the motility of sperm and reduces sperm count. It can suppress maybe, but it definitely reduces the sexual desires in a man. this affects the mobility of the sperm ( the ability to move in the uro-genital tract) & hence will affect the ability to fuse with the Ovum(female's eggs). thus better to cure the fever before going for it I can't say that I've ever been so bored that I took up counting sperms. Countd sheep ticks once, but never did them sperms....... Bet they'ld be hard to see. Bikers Book of Etiquette Strange but true, a high temp (anything over 101) will boil the sperm (note spelling of the word), A big bag of ice laid right on the testicles (about 50 pounds) should pretty much heal your man. Good luck! |
