sunscreens questions?

Issue
I'm a guy and i stay in a country where 4 seasons never exists(365 days sun full, near the equater). I am considering using sunscreen because my skin get a mild pain after a period under the sun (skin turns red immediately once going out because I'm fair). Is it considered a taboo for a guy to use sunscreen because guys in my country never use it?? and what sunscreen should i use because there are not many types available in my country? i took a look around and found that only brands like nivea, coppertone and banana boat.

Best Tip
It is best to use sunscreen if needed. You should not care what others think about you using sunscreen either. You want to protect your skin and keep it healthy. I suggest that you use either Banana Boat or Coppertone. Try to find sunscreen/sunblock/suntan lotion with SPF of 40+

Becareful when your outside in the sun, and take good care of your skin.

The sun's UV ray will damage your skin and possibly even cause skin cancer.

Others
Use Bullfrog SPF 36 quick gel
The protection factor (SPF) is what you need to look for. It's pretty dumb for anyone, regardless of whether they tan or not, to be exposed to a lot of UV-A or UV-B radiation - both can cause damage to your skin. UV-B can cause skin cancer which left untreated can be fatal.

The SPF factor tells you how many times longer it will take for you to burn from UV-B exposure. SPF 8 means you can stay in the sun about 8 times longer than normal without skin damage.

I recommend SPF30 or above if you are going to be out in the sun most of the day. Lower the factor to start tanning slowly, or if you are only going to be out a short period.
