Eating bulimia (yes they are guys)(no they are not gay)? |
Issue I just found out that 2 of my friends are bulimic i always have called them fatasses and stuff so i feel like its my fault i feelll sooo guilty what should i do. It was always a joke we all particiapate in fitness competitions and we are wrestlers but they have tken it to far what should i do. Best Tip Most people with bulimia need professional help to stop. What you said to them was very cruel and not the sort of thing a real friend should ever say to anyone, but it was probably not the cause of the bulimia. Apologize and urge them to talk to a counselor or medical professional. Bulemia is not a triviality - it kills people! And NEVER call people names like that again - it hurts like hades, even if the person seems to laugh it off. People who are teased (and again, this is true even if it doesn't SEEM to bother them) often have psychological problems ranging from aggression (like the boys who killed at Columbine) to suicide. Still, there were probably other causes - just being teased by ONE person is not usually enough to cause an eating disorder like bulemia unless the teasing was relentless over a long period of time. So you are right to feel guilty because you did something thoughtless and cruel but you probably did not singlehandedly cause the bulemia. Others when will people realize that being fat is not the exception to "treat people as you want to be treated"? they must be gay cuz it they are doing this cuz u called them fatasses thats something a female would do not a guy....a real man would fart on ur face for callin him that or make a comeback.........tell them to quit having so many feelins Be honest with them. Apologize for the jokes & names, & then let them know you're there for them. Ask them how you can help support them. There is help for them. You may be part of that help. apologize - you calling them fatasses probably helped contribute to their bulemia. you need to be their friend and be positive about them and let them know you are aware of the bullemia and that you want to help them over come it....it has severe consequences - both mentally and physically. |
