Recently I've been feeling really blank...not down or uhappy as such just blank...?

Issue
Just started doing night shift after coming out of uni and a time of unemployment. The job is easy and I stay awake perfectly well but when time comes for work I feel blank...like something is wrong...but what? Any suggestions?

Best Tip
Yeah. That's work alright. Be lucky you don't feel anything - could be worse.

Well, it seems as though you may not like your job. If you were unemployed for a while, you may also feel down on yourself becuase you were not making money or being productive.

You might want to try and set some goals and challenge yourself, or even get some hobbies. If you have something to look forward to after you get out of work it may make you feel better.

Good Luck!~
You sound uninspired. The job is not exciting or challenging enough for you. Be careful as this could get you into trouble. See if you can accept new tasks or fill a different position. Or become a candy taste tester! That would be fun!
You might have ADHD? Have you always struggled with this?
I have ADHD and can relate to what this person is feeling.
It takes a while for your body to adjust to these hours. I work nights and I sometimes still have bad days where I feel "off". It's like your body is saying, "Hey, I'm tired and want to go to sleep" but your brain is saying, "But it's daytime, I want to stay up!!".
The best advice I can give you is to find a sleep schedule that works for you and stick to it. I usually get hame between 5 and 7am and then I stay up until about 2pm and sleep until 9 or 10. I am up right now because my children are starting school soon and I have had to change my schedule to sleeping in two shifts. I go to sleep for a few hours in the morning then I sleep for a few more before I have to go into work. The 2 to 10 thing works best for me but I can't do that while my children are in school or I will never get to see them!! Also I found that drinking a lot of coffee to stay awake at night really prevents me from sleeping well during the day so I limit myself to only one cup as soon as I get to work.I have also changed my eating habits and I eat dinner in the morning and breakfast at night. If you find what works for you and stick to a schedule you should be feeling a lot better in a few weeks. Good luck and I hope this helps a little!!
