How can I cut my paranoia in half and learn to trust? |
Issue I have a great girlfriend but I keep being paranoid and untrusting of her. This is with all my relationships. Then she told me she puts alot into me and loves me and I realized what an a-ss Ive been. I want to be a loving person also but I fear from all my letdowns how can I do that? Best Tip You are not going to get any real answers here. You need serious counseling to help you determine the underlying reasons for your mistrust AND how to rise above it. If you truly care about this relationship, don't let your ego get in the way...seek professional help. Source(s): Health/wellness writer and consultant Others This is going to sound lame but.... become comfortable within yourself and then you won't have to worry about whether someone really loves you or not. We all do the best we can. There is no half when it comes to this kind of paranoia. It will destory your life. There are steps that you can work on to reach that goal but it is goin to take alot of work on your part. There is a source from within you that allows the paranoia to stay. Try to find it and destroy it before it completely destories you. If you are serious we can chat. Personal experience: believe me it wasn't fun First step in trusting is to never take what people do personally, even if a person did betray you it was out of their empty needs and lack of character not usually to hurt you (in most instances) I find from past experiences that a person who can't trust usually can't trust because they know the harm that they can do,.......usually you can only see your reflection in the person (which might be a liar or a player)and really they might be the most wonderful and loyal person in the world. Be fearless in your relationships and go into to have fun not for security. The only person that is 100 percent trustworthy is God because only he is perfect. Try not expect perfection from a human being, it will only hurt yourself. Good luck |
