Sleep Question, Please Help! =(?

Issue
I am a 20 year old female, so here is my problem hopefully someone can give me some advice...

Basically i've messed up my whole sleeping schedule. I sleep during the day and stay awake during the night.. As in from 5 PM till 7 AM I am awake and the rest of the hours I am sleeping... Ive tryed EVERYTHING to try and make it normal again but nothing has worked, I even tryed Ambien, and if you know what that is than you know how well it works and it didnt do much for me besides knock me out for an hour and a half and I took two. So please, if anyone has any advice out there or you need more information to be able to answer my question better let me know... Thank you for everyones time.

Best Tip
What you need to do if force yourself not to go to sleep at 7am. Stay awake until around 10pm the following day. You should be tired enough to fall asleep, but probably won't stay asleep for long. If you wake up at 2am, stay up. Don't go to sleep again until 10pm the following night. Do this over and over again... going to bed at 10pm and staying up if you wake up in the middle of the night. Then going to bed at 10pm. It may take a couple of weeks, but eventually you'll get used to going to bed at 10pm and finding you stay asleep longer and longer. I worked a 7pm-7am shift for many years and got very used to staying awake all night. i did the pills, teas, etc., etc. This was the only thing that worked to get me back on a regular sleep schedule. Don't drink any caffine or take anything to help you stay up after 12 noon. When you already have the urge to be up at night, things like that only make it harder to fall asleep when you want to.

Others
I dont have any medical advice but I would say just starve yourself of sleep at day time, make sure you are out or have music loud or something to keep yourself awake, only allow yourself to go to sleep at normal hours and eventually your body will adjust.
i recommend seeing your doctor. do you suffer from depression? are you suffering from manic depression? i have and that has kept me up nights and sleeping during the day. i had to treat that problem first before i was able to regulate my sleep. good luck.
There are sleep clinics in various parts of the country that might help you.
Another possibility is for you to adopt a schedule that suits your sleeping pattern e.g. get a night job.
stay up for 48 hours then lay down to sleep at around 10 pm night
i have the same problem...mine is due to depression...and my husband's sleep schedule which is erratic and hence has disturbed mine...i went for a sleep study and found that i have sleep apnea which has caused a problem with the quality of my sleep...i guess what you need to do is to figure out why your schedule is messed up and try to find a way to remedy it ..my husband used ambien and we had a car accident because of the side effect of his thinking he was awake when he actually wasn't...i would watch out with that stuff....maybe a sleep study could help you figure out what is going on....hope this helps some
Feng shui might work..hahah but I'm serious;;;

If you sleep at 7 am..try to wake up at 3 pm... so thats 8 hours of normal sleep...

And if you woke up at 3 and slept at 1 am...the next day try to wake up at noon...

You can't dramatically change you sleeping scheudule..I have a prob to with sleeping..

I'm gradually fixing..it... so good luck..

and yeah rearrange your furnitures..ahahh it works;; somehow;;
