alcohol to treat mental disorders or medication combined with counseling? |
Issue alcohol to treat mental disorders or medication combined with counseling? Best Tip that's an easy question..... alcohol. Others Yes, physician advice is required in that case. i have never heard of any mental disorder that was treated with alcohol. I have heard of a great many that were made worse due to heavy alcohol consumption. Many mental/emotional/personality disorders are now treated with a combination of counseling and medication. I doubt any doctor would say that alcohol is a good treatment for mental disorders, but medication and counseling is a good idea. Lay of the alcohol! I wish you would explain further. I would not encourage you to use alcohol to treat mental disorders as alcohol is a depressant rather than giving you a more positive outcome such as an anti-depressant. Another issue is that alcohol abuse causes more inability to control behaviors rather than again the more desired affect of having more control over your body. Medication can be prescribed by a psychiatrist if it is needed and the counseling componet can be done by a therapist. alcohol causes mental disorders, have you heard of corsicov's syndrome. It is not recommended as therapy. Alcohol abuse is a canker on society, if it was classed as medication doctors would give a daily dosage, it is your life abuse it if you wish. |
