What do you do...?

Issue
I am trying to sleep at night in my room. What sort of remedy would you use to 'drown out' or muffle the noises of the television in the living room? My roommates like to watch lots of TV at night.

I have already tried earplugs, but I need to be able to hear my alarm clock in the morning! Any ideas on what you would do?

Best Tip
Use a fan. It makes a nice relaxing white noise, and helps with air circulation. My wife uses it to drown out my snoring! Source(s): monger187

Others
cushion up the room so you dont hear anything, it might take a while though
Ummmm, ask the roomies to turn the tele down a bit, moron?
Throw the TV out the window.
tell your roomates to turn down the TV a little bit and close your door
Xanax, or Unisom usually does the trick for me. If you don't like pills, try having a drink or maybe just tell them to shut the **** up.
